حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ كَعْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ - ﷺ

نَهَى عَنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ، ثُمَّ رَخَّصَ أَنْ نَأْكُلَ وَنَدَّخِرَ. قَالَ: فَقَدِمَ قَتَادَةُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ أَخُو أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، فَقَدَّمُوا إِلَيْهِ مِنْ قَدِيدِ الْأَضْحَى، فَقَالَ: كَأَنَّ هَذَا مِنْ قَدِيدِ الْأَضْحَى ؟ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: أَلَيْسَ قَدْ نَهَى عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ: بَلَى، إِنَّهُ قَدْ حَدَثَ فِيهِ أَمْرٌ، كَانَ نَهَانَا عَنْهُ أَنْ نَحْبِسَهُ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ، وَرَخَّصَ لَنَا أَنْ نَأْكُلَ وَنَدَّخِرَ

Translation

✧ He prohibited the meat of sacrificial animals beyond three days, then he gave permission for us to eat and store it. He said: Qatada b. al-Nu'man, the brother of Abu Sa'id, arrived, and they served him some of the dried sacrificial meat. He said: 'Is this from the dried meat of the sacrifice?' They said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Did not the Messenger of God ﷺ prohibit it?' Abu Sa'id said: 'Indeed, but a matter occurred concerning it. He had prohibited us from keeping it beyond three days, and he gave us permission to eat and store it.'
