Sunan ad-Darimi 2001

✧ In the meat of the sacrificial animals.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ خَالِدٍ هُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الطَّحَّانُ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ عَنْ نُبَيْشَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

«إِنَّا كُنَّا نَهَيْنَاكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ أَنْ تَأْكُلُوهَا فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ كَيْ تَسَعَكُمْ فَقَدْ جَاءَ اللَّهُ بِالسَّعَةِ فَكُلُوا وَادَّخِرُوا وَائْتَّجِرُوا»

✧ We had forbidden you to eat the meat of sacrificial animals beyond three days so that it might suffice you. Now Allah has brought abundance, so eat, store, and seek reward.

  • قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد ائْتَّجِرُوا اطْلُبُوا فِيهِ الْأَجْرَ

    machine translationAbū Muḥammad said: "Ittajirū" means seek reward (al-ajr) in it.
