حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أُنَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ، يَقُولُ:
إِنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ، وَرَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي خُدْرَةَ امْتَرَيَا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الَّذِي أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوَى، فَقَالَ الْخُدْرِيُّ: هُوَ مَسْجِدُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ الْعُمَرِيُّ: هُوَ مَسْجِدُ قُبَاءَ. قَالَ: فَخَرَجَا حَتَّى جَاءَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَأَلَاهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: هُوَ هَذَا الْمَسْجِدُ مَسْجِدُ رَسُولِ اللهِ، وَفِي ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ كَثِيرٌ

✧ A man from Banu 'Amr b. 'Awf and a man from Banu Khudrah disputed about the mosque founded upon piety. Al-Khudri said: It is the mosque of the Messenger of God ﷺ. Al-'Umari said: It is the mosque of Quba'. He said: They went out until they came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and asked him about that. He said: It is this mosque, the mosque of the Messenger of God, and in that there is much good.
