حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعُ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ: صَلَّى بِنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوًا مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ النَّبِيَّ
Translation
✧ Amr narrated to us, Waki' b. al-Jarrah narrated to us, Isma'il b. Abi Khalid narrated to us, from Qays b. Abi Hazim, who said: Sa'd b. Malik led us in prayer, and he mentioned something similar to the hadith of Abu Mu'awiyah, but he did not mention the Prophet.

machine translationBayān b. Bishr and Ismāʿīl b. Abī Khālid narrate it from Qays. As for Bayān, Baqiyyah b. al-Walīd raised it (to the Prophet) from Shuʿbah, from Qays, from Saʿd, from the Prophet ﷺ, while Ghundar and others stopped it at the Companion (mawqūf) from Shuʿbah. As for Ismāʿīl, Abū Muʿāwiyah al-Ḍarīr raised it from him and gave it a connected chain (musnad), while Zāʾidah, Zuhayr, Hushaym, al-Muḥāribī, Ibn ʿUyaynah, Khālid al-Wāsiṭī, Yaḥyā al-Qaṭṭān, Marwān, Abū Ḥamzah al-Sukkarī and others stopped it at the Companion. The mawqūf version is the preserved one (maḥfūẓ).
