حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ:

" أَعْظَمُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فِي الْمُسْلِمِينَ جُرْمًا، مَنْ سَأَلَ عَنْ أَمْرٍ لَمْ يُحَرَّمْ عَلَى النَّاسِ، فَحُرِّمَ عَلَى النَّاسِ مِنْ أَجْلِ مَسْأَلَتِهِ

Translation

✧ "The Muslim with the greatest offense against Muslims is one who asks about a matter that was not forbidden to the people, and it becomes forbidden to the people because of his asking."
