حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو صَخْرٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا حَازِمٍ حَدَّثَهُ عَنِ ابْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ:

" إِنَّ الْإِيمَانَ بَدَأَ غَرِيبًا وَسَيَعُودُ كَمَا بَدَأَ، فَطُوبَى لِلْغُرَبَاءِ يَوْمَئِذٍ، إِذَا فَسَدَ النَّاسُ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ بِيَدِهِ لَيَأْرِزَنَّ الْإِسْلَامُ بَيْنَ هَذَيْنِ الْمَسْجِدَيْنِ كَمَا تَأْرِزُ الْحَيَّةُ فِي جُحْرِهَا

Translation

✧ "Indeed faith began as something strange and will return as it began, so blessed are the strangers on that day when people become corrupt. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Abu al-Qasim, Islam will surely withdraw between these two mosques as a snake withdraws into its hole."
