حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

إِنَّ لِهَذَا الْقُرْآنِ شِرَّةً، وَلِلنَّاسِ عَنْهُ فَتْرَةً، فَمَنْ كَانَتْ فَتْرَتُهُ إِلَى الْقَصْدِ فَنِعِمَّا هِيَ، وَمَنْ كَانَتْ فَتْرَتُهُ إِلَى الْإِعْرَاضِ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمْ بُورٌ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  4. Abū Hurayrah
  5. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ Verily, this Quran has a period of keenness, and people have a period of slackness regarding it. So whoever's slackness is toward moderation, then how good it is; and whoever's slackness is toward turning away, then those are the ruined ones.
