حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ. أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَهُ، قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَنَحْنُ بِالْغَارِ: لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَهُمْ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى تَحْتِ قَدَمَيْهِ لَأَبْصَرَنَا تَحْتَ قَدَمَيْهِ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ: يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ، مَا ظَنُّكَ بِاثْنَيْنِ اللهُ ثَالِثُهُمَا

✧ I said to the Prophet ﷺ while we were in the cave: If one of them looked at the bottom of his feet, he would see us beneath his feet. He said: O Abu Bakr, what do you think of two when God is the third of them?
