حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، وَمُوسَى بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَكْثُرَ الْهَرْجُ، قَالُوا: وَمَا الْهَرْجُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ؟ قَالَ: الْقَتْلُ. ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ. قَالُوا: كُلَّ عَامٍ نَقْتُلُ أَلْفًا أَوْ أَلْفَيْنِ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ؟ قَالَ: لَا أَعْنِي ذَاكَ، وَلَكِنْ يَقْتُلُ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا، قَالُوا: وَنَحْنُ أَحْيَاءٌ وَنَفْعَلُ ؟ قَالَ: يُمِيتُ اللهُ قُلُوبَ أَهْلِ ذَلِكَ الزَّمَانِ كَمَا يُمِيتُ أَبْدَانَهُمْ

Translation

✧ The Hour will not come until killing increases. They said, 'What is killing, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'Killing.' Three times. They said, 'Every year we kill a thousand or two thousand of the polytheists?' He said, 'I do not mean that, but rather that you will kill one another.' They said, 'While we are alive and doing so?' He said, 'Allah will cause the hearts of the people of that time to die just as He causes their bodies to die.'
