حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا حَنْظَلَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَالِمًا يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ

يُقْبَضُ الْعِلْمُ وَتَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا الْهَرْجُ ؟ قَالَ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا يَعْنِي الْقَتْلَ.

Translation

✧ Knowledge will be taken away, trials will appear, and killing will increase. It was said: O Messenger of Allah, what is killing? He said with his hand, like this, meaning killing.
