حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

التَّمْرُ بِالتَّمْرِ، وَالْحِنْطَةُ بِالْحِنْطَةِ، وَالْمِلْحُ بِالْمِلْحِ، مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ، فَمَنْ زَادَ أَوِ ازْدَادَ فَهُوَ رِبًا، إِلَّا مَا اخْتَلَفَ أَلْوَانُهُ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Abū Maʿmar
  2. Ibn Fuḍayl
  3. his father
  4. Abū Zurʿah
  5. Abū Hurayrah
  6. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ Dates for dates, wheat for wheat, and salt for salt, like for like. Whoever gives more or asks for more has engaged in riba, except for those whose types differ.
