حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ سُرَيْجٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ. عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

مَا مِنْ وَالٍ - أَوْ قَالَ: نَبِيٍّ - إِلَّا وَلَهُ بِطَانَتَانِ: بِطَانَةٌ تَأْمُرُهُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَاهُ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ، وَبِطَانَةٌ لَا تَأْلُوهُ خَبَالًا، فَمَنْ وُقِيَ شَرَّهَا فَقَدْ وُقِيَ

Translation

✧ There is no ruler—or he said: prophet—but he has two inner circles: an inner circle that commands him to what is right and forbids him from what is wrong, and an inner circle that spares no effort to corrupt him. Whoever is protected from its evil is protected.
