حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ:
بَيْنَمَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ، رَأَيْتُ فِيمَا يُرَى سِوَارَيْنِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، فَهَمَّنِي شَأْنُهُمَا، قَالَ: بَيْنَمَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ، فَأُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ: أَنِ انْفُخْهُمَا، فَنَفَخْتُهُمَا، فَطَارَا، فَأَوَّلْتُهُمَا كَذَّابَيْنِ يَخْرُجَانِ، وَكَانَ أَحَدُهُمَا الْعَنْسِيَّ صَاحِبَ صَنْعَاءَ، وَالْآخَرُ مُسَيْلِمَةَ.

✧ While I was asleep, I saw in what is seen two bracelets of gold, and their affair distressed me. He said: While I was asleep, it was revealed to me: Blow on them. So I blew on them and they flew away. I interpreted them as two liars who would emerge. One of them was al-ʿAnsī, the man of Ṣanʿāʾ, and the other was Musaylima.
