✧ There came upon us a time when we did not consider any of us more entitled to dinars and dirhams than his Muslim brother, until lately, when dinars and dirhams became dearer to one of us than his Muslim brother. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: When people become stingy with dirhams and dinars, and engage in 'inah transactions, and follow the tails of cattle, and abandon jihad, Allah will send humiliation upon them, and He will not remove it from them until they return to their religion.
