حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي خَيْثَمَةَ ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ زِمَامٍ الْعَلَّافُ ثنا مَيْمُونُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ذَكْوَانَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ طَهِّرُوا هَذِهِ الْأَجْسَادَ طَهَّرَكُمُ اللهُ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ بَاتَ طَاهِرًا إِلَّا بَاتَ فِي شِعَارِهِ مَلَكٌ كُلَّمَا تَقَلَّبَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ سَاعَةً قَالَ الْمَلَكُ اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِعَبْدِكَ كَمَا بَاتَ طَاهِرًا

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Purify these bodies, may Allah purify you. There is no servant who spends the night pure except that an angel spends the night in his undergarment; whenever he turns over at any hour of the night, the angel says: O Allah, forgive Your servant, as he spent the night pure.”
