حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْنَا الزُّهْرِيَّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ - ﷺ قَالَ:
اقْتُلُوا الْحَيَّاتِ، وَذَا الطُّفْيَتَيْنِ، وَالْأَبْتَرَ، فَإِنَّهُمَا يَطْمِسَانِ الْبَصَرَ، وَيَسْتَسْقِطَانِ الْحَبَلَ، قَالَ: وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ يَقْتُلُ كُلَّ حَيَّةٍ وَجَدَهَا
Translation

✧ Kill snakes, the one with two stripes, and the short-tailed one, for they blind the sight and cause miscarriages. He said: Abdullah used to kill every snake he found.
