حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ
ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ الْجِنَّانِ الَّتِي فِي الْبُيُوتِ إِلَّا أنْ تَكُونَ ذَا الطُّفْيَتَيْنِ وَالْأَبْتَرَ فَإِنَّهُمَا يَخْطِفَانِ الْبَصَرَ وَيَطْرَحَانِ مَا فِي بُطُونِ فِي النِّسَاءِ»

✧ Al-Qaʿnabī narrated to us, from Mālik, from Nāfiʿ, from Abū Lubābah: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade killing the small snakes that are in houses, unless it is the one with two stripes or the short-tailed one, for they snatch away sight and cause women to miscarry what is in their wombs.”
