حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى الْهَرَوِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى الْجَابِرِ، عَنْ أَبِي مَاجِدَةَ الْعِجْلِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

يَتَعَافَى النَّاسُ بَيْنَهُمْ فِي الْحُدُودِ مَا لَمْ تُرْفَعْ إِلَى الْحُكَّامِ، فَإِذَا رُفِعَتْ إِلَى الْحَاكِمِ، حَكَمَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِكِتَابِ اللهِ

✧ People pardon one another regarding fixed punishments as long as they are not brought to the rulers. But when they are brought to the ruler, he judges among them according to the Book of God.
