حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ:
كُنْتُ أَجْتَنِي لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سِوَاكًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ، وَكَانَ الرِّيحُ تَكْفَؤُهُ، وَكَانَ فِي سَاقَيَّ شَيْءٌ، فَضَحِكَ الْقَوْمُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَا يُضْحِكُكُمْ ؟ قَالُوا: دِقَّةُ سَاقَيْهِ، قَالَ: وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، لَهُمَا أَثْقَلُ فِي الْمِيزَانِ مِنْ أُحُدٍ

✧ I used to gather a miswak from an arak tree for the Messenger of God ﷺ. The wind would bend him over, and there was something about my shins, so the people laughed. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'What makes you laugh?' They said: 'The thinness of his shins.' He said: 'By the One in whose hand is my soul, they are heavier in the Balance than Mount Uhud.'
