حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، وَعَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُكَبِّرُ فِي كُلِّ خَفْضٍ، وَرَفْعٍ، وَقِيَامٍ، وَقُعُودٍ، وَيُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ، حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ، وَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ يَفْعَلَانِ ذَلِكَ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ used to say the takbir at every lowering, raising, standing, and sitting, and he would give the salutation to his right and to his left: 'Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah; peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah,' until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen. Abu Bakr and Umar used to do that.
