حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدٌ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ
أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّيهِمَا بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ، فَقَالَتْ: كَانَ يُصَلِّيهِمَا، ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ شُغِلَ عَنْهُمَا، أَوْ نَسِيَهُمَا، فَصَلَّاهُمَا بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ، ثُمَّ أَثْبَتَهُمَا، وَكَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى صَلَاةً أَثْبَتَهَا
Translation

✧ He asked Aisha about the two prostrations that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray after the afternoon prayer. She said: He used to pray them, then he was distracted from them, or forgot them, and he prayed them after the afternoon prayer, then he kept them up. Whenever he prayed a prayer, he would keep it up.
