حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْهَاشِمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنْ رَائِطَةَ امْرَأَةِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَكَانَتْ صَنَاعًا وَكَانَتْ تَبِيعُ مِنْ صَنْعَتِهَا وَتَتَصَدَّقُ فَقَالَتْ

لِعَبْدِ اللهِ يَوْمًا لَقَدْ شَغَلْتَنِي أَنْتَ وَوَلَدُكَ فَمَا أَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ مَعَكُمْ شَيْئًا فَقَالَ مَا تُحِبِّينَ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَكِ أَجْرَانِ؟ فَسَأَلَا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ لَكَ أَجْرَ مَا أَنْفَقَتِ عَلَيْهِمْ»

✧ She said to ʿAbd Allāh one day, “You and your children have distracted me, and I cannot give any charity with you.” He said, “Would you not like to have two rewards?” They asked the Prophet ﷺ about that, and he said, “You have the reward of what you spend on them.”
