✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was praying in my house. Ali b. Abi Talib came and stood beside him on his right. Then a scorpion came toward the Prophet ﷺ, and when it drew near to him it was turned away from him. Then it came toward Ali, and he took a sandal and killed it while praying. When he finished his prayer, he said: “May God curse it. It came toward the Prophet ﷺ and was turned away from him, then it came toward me, intending me.” The Messenger of God ﷺ saw no harm in killing it during the prayer.
