✧ It was my night with the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he slipped away. I thought he had slipped away to one of his other wives. I went out, jealous, and found him prostrating like a thrown garment. I heard him saying: 'My black form and my imagination prostrate to You, and my heart believes in You. My Lord, this is my hand and what I have committed against myself. O Great One, from whom every great thing is hoped, forgive the great sin.' She said: Then he raised his head and said: 'What brought you out?' She said: 'A thought I had.' He said: 'Some suspicion is sinful. Seek God's forgiveness. Gabriel came to me and commanded me to say these words that you heard. Say them in your prostration, for whoever says them will not raise his head before he is forgiven.' I think he said: 'for him.'
