حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:

جَلَسْتُ أَبْكِي عِنْدَ رَأْسِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ لِي: مَا يُبْكِيكِ ؟ إِنْ كُنْتِ تُرِيدِينَ اللُّحُوقَ بِي فَلْيَكْفِكِ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا مِثْلُ زَادِ الرَّاكِبِ، وَلَا تُخَالِطِي الْأَغْنِيَاءَ

✧ I sat weeping at the head of the Prophet ﷺ, and he said to me: 'What makes you weep? If you desire to join me, let provision like that of a rider suffice you from this world, and do not mix with the wealthy.'
