حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْمُسْتَمْلِيُّ قَالَ: نَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالَ: نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ:

جَلَسْتُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَبَكَيْتُ، فَقَالَ: مَا يُبْكِيكِ ؟ إِنْ كُنْتِ تُرِيدِينَ اللُّحُوقَ بِي فَلْيَكْفِكِ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا مِثْلُ زَادِ الرَّاكِبِ، وَلَا تُخَالِطِينَ الْأَغْنِيَاءَ

✧ I sat with the Prophet ﷺ and wept. He said: “What makes you weep? If you wish to join me, then let the provision of a rider suffice you from this world, and do not mix with the rich.”
