✧ Sa'd b. Mu'adh was struck in his median vein, so the Prophet ﷺ pitched a tent for him in the mosque to visit him from nearby. Sa'd said: 'O God, You know that the people most beloved to me to fight are a people who denied Your Prophet, expelled him, and did such and such. I think You have ended the war between us and them. O God, if You have kept any war between us and them, keep me alive for them; and if You have ended the war between us and them, then open this wound and make my death in it.' While he was one night, his wound burst open from his chest, and beside him were the people of a tent. The blood flowed until it entered the tent, and they called to them: 'O people of the tent, what is this coming to us from your direction?' They looked and found Sa'd b. Mu'adh's wound had burst open from his chest, and his blood was gushing and roaring. He said: And he died from it.
