✧ Saʿd and ʿAbd b. Zamʿah disputed before the Messenger of God ﷺ. Saʿd said, “My brother enjoined me, when I came to Makkah, to take the son of the slave woman of Zamʿah, and he is my son.” ʿAbd b. Zamʿah said, “O Messenger of God, he is my brother and the son of my father’s slave woman; he was born on my father’s bed.” Then he saw a clear resemblance to ʿUtbah. He said, “He is yours. The child belongs to the bed, and veil yourself from him, O Sawdah.”
