✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ went out and saw a prominent dome. He said: "What is this?" His companions said to him: "This belongs to a man from the Ansar." He remained silent and kept it in his heart, until when its owner came to the Messenger of God and greeted him among the people, he turned away from him. He did that to him repeatedly, until the man recognized the anger in him and his turning away from him. He complained about that to his companions, saying: "By God, I certainly find the Messenger of God ﷺ's gaze strange; I do not know what has happened concerning me and what I have done." They said: "The Messenger of God ﷺ went out and saw your dome, and he said: 'To whom does this belong?' and we told him." So he returned to his dome and leveled it to the ground. One day the Messenger of God ﷺ went out and did not see the dome, and he said: "What happened to the dome that was here?" He said: "Its owner complained to us about your turning away from him, so we informed him, and he demolished it." He said: "Indeed, every building that is built will be a burden upon its owner on the Day of Resurrection, except for what is indispensable."
