✧ Gabriel descended upon the Prophet ﷺ and said: “Muʿāwiya b. Muʿāwiya al-Laythī has died. Would you like to pray over him?” He said: “Yes.” He said: “He struck the earth with his wing, and there remained no tree or hillock but it was flattened. Then he raised his bier, and he looked at him and said the takbir over him, and behind him were two rows of angels, in each row seventy thousand angels.” The Prophet ﷺ said: “O Gabriel, by what did he attain this station with God?” He said: “By his love of ‘Say: He is God, the One’, and his recitation of it going and coming, standing and sitting, and in every state.”
