✧ Zayd took the banner and was struck. Then Ja'far took it and was struck. Then Abd Allah b. Rawaha took it and was struck. Then Khalid b. al-Walid took it without being commanded, and God granted him victory. It does not please them—or it does not please me—that they are with us, while his eyes were shedding tears.
