حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا دُرُسْتُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الرَّقَاشِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:
كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ لِي: يَا بُنَيَّ، ادْعُ لِيَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الدَّارِ بِوَضُوءٍ، فَقُلْتُ: رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَطْلُبُ وَضُوءًا ؟ فَقَالَ: أَخْبِرْهُ أَنَّ دَلْوَنَا جِلْدُ مَيْتَةٍ، فَقَالَ: سَلْهُمْ، هَلْ دَبَغُوهُ ؟ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: فَإِنَّ دِبَاغَهُ طُهُورُهُ

✧ I was walking with the Prophet ﷺ, and he said to me: O my son, ask for ablution water for me from this house. I said: The Messenger of God ﷺ is asking for ablution water? They said: Tell him that our bucket is the hide of a dead animal. He said: Ask them, did they tan it? They said: Yes. He said: Its tanning is its purification.
