حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَاللَّفْظُ لِزُهَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْقُنُوتِ قَبْلَ الرُّكُوعِ أَوْ بَعْدَ الرُّكُوعِ ؟ قَالَ: قَبْلَ الرُّكُوعِ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: فَإِنَّ نَاسًا يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَنَتَ بَعْدَ الرُّكُوعِ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّمَا قَنَتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ شَهْرًا يَدْعُو عَلَى أُنَاسٍ قَتَلُوا نَاسًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ يُقَالُ لَهُمُ الْقُرَّاءُ

✧ I asked him about the qunūt: before the bowing or after the bowing? He said: Before the bowing. He said: I said: But some people claim that the Messenger of God ﷺ performed the qunūt after the bowing. He said: The Messenger of God ﷺ only performed the qunūt for a month, supplicating against people who had killed some of his companions called the reciters.
