حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، قَالَ:

سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، أَحَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، هِيَ حَرَامٌ، حَرَّمَهَا اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ لَا يُخْتَلَى خَلَاهَا، فَمَنْ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللهِ، وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ، وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ

Translation

✧ I asked Anas b. Malik: Did the Messenger of God ﷺ declare Madinah inviolable? He said: Yes, it is inviolable. God and His Messenger made it inviolable: its herbage is not to be cut. Whoever does that, upon him is the curse of God, the angels, and all people.
