حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْلَى الْأَسْلَمِيُّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:

اسْتُشْهِدَ غُلَامٌ مِنَّا يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، فَوُجِدَ عَلَى بَطْنِهِ صَخْرَةٌ مَرْبُوطَةٌ مِنَ الْجُوعِ، فَمَسَحَتْ أُمُّهُ التُّرَابَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ، وَقَالَتْ: هَنِيئًا لَكَ يَا بُنَيَّ الْجَنَّةُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: مَا يُدْرِيكِ ؟ لَعَلَّهُ كَانَ يَتَكَلَّمُ فِيمَا لَا يَعْنِيهِ، وَيَمْنَعُ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُ

Translation

✧ A boy of ours was martyred on the day of Uhud, and a stone was found tied to his stomach from hunger. His mother wiped the dust from his face and said, "May Paradise be pleasant for you, my son." The Prophet ﷺ said, "What makes you know? Perhaps he used to speak about what did not concern him and withhold that which did not harm him."
