حَدَّثَنَا الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْجَزَّارِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ قَاعِدًا يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ عَلَى فُرْضَةٍ مِنْ فُرَضِ الْخَنْدَقِ، فَقَالَ: شَغَلُونَا عَنْ صَلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى حَتَّى غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ، مَلَأَ اللهُ بُيُوتَهُمْ وَقُبُورَهُمْ - أَوْ: مَلَأَ اللهُ بُطُونَهُمْ وَقُبُورَهُمْ - نَارًا

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was sitting on the Day of the Confederates at one of the breaches of the Trench, and he said: They distracted us from the middle prayer until the sun set. May God fill their houses and their graves—or: May God fill their bellies and their graves—with fire.
