حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّلْتِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ كَبَّرَ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُحَاذِيَ بِإِبْهَامَيْهِ أُذُنَيْهِ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ: سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ، وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ، وَتَعَالَى جَدُّكَ، وَلَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ

Translation

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ began the prayer, he said the takbir and raised his hands until his thumbs were level with his ears. Then he said: 'Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika, wa tabaraka ismuka, wa ta'ala jadduka, wa la ilaha ghayruka.'
