حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَفَعَهُ، قَالَ:

أَتَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ قُتِلَ ابْنُهَا وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهَا غَيْرُهُ، وَكَانَ اسْمُهُ حَارِثَةَ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنْ يَكُنْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَصْبِرْ، وَإِنْ يَكُنْ فِي غَيْرِ ذَلِكَ فَسَتَعْلَمُ مَا أَصْنَعُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ، وَإِنَّهُ فِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى

Translation

✧ A woman came to him whose son had been killed, and she had no other child, and his name was Harithah. She said, 'O Messenger of Allah, if he is in Paradise I will be patient, but if he is elsewhere, you will see what I do.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'There are many gardens, and he is in the highest Firdaws.'
