✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ forbade visiting graves, eating meat of sacrificial animals after three days, and nabidh in gourds, green jars, and pitch-coated vessels. He said: Then after three days the Messenger of God ﷺ said: I had forbidden you three things, but then it became clear to me concerning them. I forbade you visiting graves, but then it became clear to me that it softens the heart, makes the eye weep, and reminds of the Hereafter. So visit them and do not say anything improper. I forbade you eating meat of sacrificial animals beyond three nights, but then it became clear to me that people keep their condiments, honor their guests, and save for those absent. So keep as much as you wish. I forbade you nabidh in these vessels, so drink in whatever you wish, but do not drink any intoxicant; whoever wishes may tie his waterskin upon sin.
