machine translationAbū Yaḥyā al-Ḥimmānī narrated it from ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿUmar, from al-Zuhrī, from Anas, and he added some wordings to it, namely his saying "they meet, and this one turns away." Yaʿīsh b. al-Jahm related this from Abū Yaḥyā. But this is only known from the hadith of ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar, the brother of ʿUbaydullāh, from al-Zuhrī, with these wordings. It is said that he made an error (wahm) in this addition, and what is preserved (maḥfūẓ) from al-Zuhrī, from Anas, is as Mālik and Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated it, up to his saying "and it is not lawful for a Muslim to forsake his brother for more than three (days)."
