حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، قَالَ:
مَا مِنْ نَفْسٍ تَمُوتُ لَهَا عِنْدَ اللهِ خَيْرٌ، مَا يَسُرُّهَا أَنْ تَرْجِعَ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا، إِلَّا الشَّهِيدُ، فَإِنَّهُ يَسُرُّهُ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا فَيُقْتَلَ؛ لِمَا يَرَى مِنْ فَضْلِ الشَّهَادَةِ
Translation

✧ There is no soul that dies having good with Allah that would be pleased to return to the world, except the martyr, for he would be pleased to return to the world and be killed, because of what he sees of the excellence of martyrdom.
