حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْحُومُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَعِنْدَهُ بِنْتٌ لَهُ، فَقَالَ أَنَسٌ: فَجَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَعَرَضَتْ نَفْسَهَا عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَتِ ابْنَتُهُ: مَا أَقَلَّ حَيَاءَهَا ! فَقَالَ: هِيَ خَيْرٌ مِنْكِ، عَرَضَتْ نَفْسَهَا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ.

✧ I was with the Prophet ﷺ, and with him was a daughter of his. Anas said: A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and offered herself to him. His daughter said: 'How little modesty she has!' He said: 'She is better than you; she offered herself to the Prophet.'
