✧ Abū Ṭalḥah recited Sūrat Barāʾah and came upon this verse: “Go forth, light and heavy.” He said: “Do I not see my Lord calling me to go forth, young and old? Equip me.” His sons said to him: “You campaigned with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until he passed away, and with Abū Bakr until he died, and with ʿUmar, so we will campaign on your behalf.” He said: “Equip me.” So they equipped him, and he sailed the sea and died. They did not find an island to bury him on until after seven days, and he had not changed.
