حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ
أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لِأَنَسٍ: ادْعُ لَنَا، فَقَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً، وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً، وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ، قَالُوا: زِدْنَا، فَأَعَادَهَا، قَالُوا: زِدْنَا، قَالَ: مَا تُرِيدُونَ ؟ سَأَلْتُ لَكُمْ خَيْرَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ. قَالَ أَنَسٌ: فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُكْثِرُ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ: اللَّهُمَّ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً، وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً، وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Translation

✧ They said to Anas, 'Supplicate for us.' He said, 'O Allah, give us good in this world, and good in the hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.' They said, 'Add more for us,' so he repeated it. They said, 'Add more for us.' He said, 'What do you want? I asked for you the good of this world and the hereafter.' Anas said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate frequently: 'O Allah, give us good in this world, and good in the hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.'
