✧ When the Messenger of God ﷺ entered Makkah, the people of Makkah stood in two rows. ʿAbd Allāh b. Rawāḥa said: 'Make way, sons of the disbelievers, from his path. Today we strike you upon his revelation, a striking that removes heads from their resting place and makes the dear friend forget his dear friend. O Lord, I believe in his word.' ʿUmar said: "O Ibn Rawāḥa, do you recite poetry before the Messenger of God and within God's sanctuary?" The Prophet ﷺ said: "Enough, O ʿUmar, this is harder on them than the falling of arrows."
