حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ أَصْبَغَ بْنِ نُبَاتَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ:
إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَالَحَ بَنِي تَغْلِبَ عَلَى أَنْ يَثْبُتُوا عَلَى دِينِهِمْ، وَلَا يُنَصِّرُوا أَبْنَاءَهُمْ، وَإِنَّهُمْ قَدْ نَقَضُوا، وَإِنَّهُ إِنْ يَتِمَّ لِيَ الْأَمْرُ قَتَلْتُ الْمُقَاتِلَةَ، وَسَبَيْتُ الذُّرِّيَّةَ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ made a treaty with the Banu Taghlib on the condition that they remain upon their religion and not Christianize their children. Indeed they have broken it, and if the matter is completed for me, I will kill the fighters and take the offspring captive.
