حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، أَنَّ أَنَسًا حَدَّثَهُمْ: أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ حَدَّثَتْ

أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَرَى فِي مَنَامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ ؟ قَالَ: إِذَا رَأَتْ ذَلِكَ الْمَرْأَةُ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ، قَالَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ: وَاسْتَحْيَيْتُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ، فَقُلْتُ: وَهَلْ يَكُونُ هَذَا ؟ فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ: نَعَمْ، فَمِنْ أَيْنَ يَكُونُ الشَّبَهُ ؟ إِنَّ مَاءَ الرَّجُلِ غَلِيظٌ، وَمَاءَ الْمَرْأَةِ رَقِيقٌ أَصْفَرُ، فَمِنْ أَيِّهِمَا عَلَا أَوْ سَبَقَ يَكُونُ الشَّبَهُ

✧ She asked the Prophet ﷺ about a woman who sees in her dream what a man sees. He said: 'When a woman sees that, she should perform ghusl.' Umm Sulaym said: 'I felt shy about that, so I said: Does this happen?' The Prophet of God ﷺ said: 'Yes, so where does resemblance come from? A man's fluid is thick, and a woman's fluid is thin and yellowish. Whichever of them prevails or comes first determines resemblance.'
