✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood at Arafa and said: This is Arafa and this is the standing place, and all of Arafa is a standing place. Then he departed when the sun set, and he mounted Usama behind him while the people were striking to his right and left. He turned to them and said: O people, be calm. When he came to Muzdalifa, he prayed the two prayers together. When morning came, he came to Quzah and stood upon it and said: This is Quzah, and all of Muzdalifa is a standing place. Then he departed. When he came to Muhassir, he struck his she-camel until he crossed the valley, then stopped, then mounted al-Fadl behind him, then came to the Jamra, then came to the place of sacrifice and said: This is the place of sacrifice, and all of Mina is a place of sacrifice. He said: A young woman from Khathʿam asked him for a ruling and said: O Messenger of Allah, my father is an old man who has become senile, and the obligation of Hajj has overtaken him. Is it sufficient for me to perform Hajj on his behalf? He said: Perform Hajj on behalf of your father. He turned the neck of al-Fadl, so al-Abbas said to him: O Messenger of Allah, why did you turn the neck of your cousin? He said: I saw a young man and a young woman and did not feel safe for them from Satan. He said: A man came to him and said: O Messenger of Allah, I threw before I shaved. He said: Shave or shorten, and no harm. He said: Another came to him and said: O Messenger of Allah, I sacrificed before I threw. He said: Throw, and no harm. He said: Then he came to the House and circumambulated it, then came to Zamzam and said: O Banu Abd al-Muttalib, your water supply, were it not that the people would overpower you, I would draw it.
