حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَسَدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

خَيْرُ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الْإِثْمِدُ عِنْدَ النَّوْمِ يُنْبِتُ الشَّعَرَ وَيَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ، وَخَيْرُ ثِيَابِكُمُ الْبِيضُ الْبَسُوهَا، وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ

✧ The best of your kohl is ithmid; at bedtime it grows the hair and sharpens the eyesight. The best of your garments are the white ones: wear them and shroud your dead in them.
