✧ The handles of Islam and the foundations of the religion are three, upon which Islam is built. Whoever abandons one of them is thereby an unbeliever whose blood is lawful: the testimony that there is no god but God, the prescribed prayer, and the fast of Ramadan. Then Ibn 'Abbas said: You will find a man with much wealth who does not pay zakat, and he will remain an unbeliever whose blood is lawful. And you will find a man with much wealth who has not performed the pilgrimage, and he will remain an unbeliever, though his blood is not lawful.
